Overview

A rare opportunity to see the ancient bond between man and bird. In a small group, you will interact with a variety of hawks, falcons and owls, learn their natural history and their differences, and see an unforgettable flying demonstration. The Beginners Experience culminates with a chance for you
to put on a glove and hold a trained falcon.

There is a licensed falconer who oversees and presents each experience. The birds engage only by their own will.

We did the beginner falconry class this week and it was great. Deanna did a fantastic job teaching us about these magnificent birds and what it takes to be a professional falconer. We have such a huge respect for the work they do and learned so much about training the birds and the history of falconry. We met several birds, watched them hunt and got to hold one during the session. On top of the fun interactive class, it’s all set against the backdrop of the beautiful Broadmoor resort. We highly recommend both.

This was our 3rd time back to this falconry experience, and we have absolutely loved it each time. It has not only been very informative and taught us a lot about these special beings, but also the one on one bonding with these amazing birdzofprey is truly priceless to me. We have fully enjoyed our past two experiences with Roger who is awesome, and this time we were fortunate enough to be connected with the lead falconer Deanna, as well as Katy for my bday. Deanna was also very informative, and provided not only an abundance of new and exciting info we had yet to learn, but also was so much fun to be around and just had a great overall vibe, along w her sidekick mascot pup, Riley. It was also very nice to have Katy with us, as she provided yet another perspective and shared her very interesting and full journey already in her falconry career, equally awesome. I do have a very special and important connection with BirDZofPreY in general, especially hawks, and so having the opportunity to directly interact with them as this allows for my soulPod and I to do is such a privilege and honor... We are already looking forward to our next visit! -soul
