Overview

A rare opportunity to see the ancient bond between man and bird. In a small group, you will interact with a variety of hawks, falcons and owls, learn their natural history and their differences, and see an unforgettable flying demonstration. The Beginners Experience culminates with a chance for you
to put on a glove and hold a trained falcon.

There is a licensed falconer who oversees and presents each experience. The birds engage only by their own will.

My husband and I went to the Broadmoor Resort for a long weekend, and one of our activities was the beginner’s Falconry lesson. It was an amazing experience! Our Falconer Roger was super knowledgeable and provided us with the opportunity to meet several kinds of raptors. During the outdoor portion, we each got to have a raptor on our arms, and watched the falconer hunt with one of his birds. Totally worth the money, and can’t wait to go back for the intermediate lesson.

Deanna did a fantastic job explaining the history of Falconry and answered all of our questions. The hawks, falcons and owls were all fantastic and the highlight was the Hawk Walk! Highly recomend
