Overview

A rare opportunity to see the ancient bond between man and bird. In a small group, you will interact with a variety of hawks, falcons and owls, learn their natural history and their differences, and see an unforgettable flying demonstration. The Beginners Experience culminates with a chance for you
to put on a glove and hold a trained falcon.

There is a licensed falconer who oversees and presents each experience. The birds engage only by their own will.

Katy, the falconer, was an absolute gem, not only extremely knowledgeable about each of the birds she demonstrated, but she handled them with total affection for the birds and a love of what she was doing. Cannot say enough about the fantastic job she did and how much we enjoyed the experience!

You won't regret this experience. We had one person in our party that was reluctant to join and Roger won her and us over with an amazing time. I was changed by the wondrous world of these birds and now look toward the skies differently. Once we got back to the hotel our friends and we quickly started re-watching videos about falcons, hawks, and owls in nature with our fresh perspective. The process was smooth, professional, and very very friendly. We are looking forward to our next class!

My husband and I participated in the Falconry class with our AMAZING instructor Katy!! She was the most informed Falconer EVER! She was so interesting it seemed like the class was over in a split second...it went by so fast. I wish it could have lasted all day. She answered all of our questions, and we were "hands on" with some spectacular birds. This was truly a once in a lifetime adventure and we can not wait to return to the Broadmoor and take the intermediate class.
