Definitely worth visiting from many perspectives. If you enjoy art, the exhibits are breathtaking. If you are a craft person, you will enjoy the instructive demonstrations. For the mechanically or scientifically inclined, there is an entire section dedicated to glass production and products that we utilize daily. For the historian, the stories that describe each display piece take you through time around the world. The gift shop is a shopper’s paradise. I could go on, but you get the idea. The museum is overwhelming…in a good sense. Then, there is the opportunity to be part of the glassmaking. We paid the extra to make a sculpture. I must admit slight disappointment that my contribution consisted merely of 3 presses on a foot lever, but afterwards, I was pleased that I could at least design some glassware. I’ve never had an opportunity to personalize any glassware except at Corning Museum of Glass. The memory of this experience will remain with me for many years. You will feel the same!

Wow, what a pleasant surprise! This museum is so extensive, spanning centuries of glass making. The exhibit halls are vast, and well planned. You definitely need more than a few hours, maybe even more than one day to enjoy it all. Even the young children I saw seemed engaged, with no whining. The gift shop is large and has items for every taste, and at every price point. I would go again.
