What To Expect

Crater Lake

Spend the day exploring the highlights of Crater Lake National Park, the deepest lake in the United States. A caldera formed by the eruption and collapse of Mt. Mazama thousands of years ago, centuries of rainfall and snow melt have filled this crater to create the purest large body of water in the world. You will be led on an informative journey along Rim Drive, stopping for photos at the most breathtaking viewpoints. Enjoy short hikes to a variety of natural wonders and hidden gems before a lunch break at Rim Village. After lunch, the adventure continues to more stunning overlooks!

Rim Village

Guests will have a one-hour lunch break at Rim Village. Grab-and-go items are offered at the cafe, which can get very busy during the peak season. Guests may choose to pack a lunch instead. Other attractions at Rim Village include Crater Lake Lodge and Sinnott Memorial Observation Station.

I'm a national park traveler lover and I was looking for a stress-free driving to Crater Lake NP, I found Explore Souther Oregon information and the reviews were good. I really enjoyed the experience traveling with Jeri Kelly (tour guide and owner). She was very responsive from my first inquiry online about the service, she suggested places to stay, and the day tour was great. She's great in providing all the information and history about the park. I got the privilege to travel with other two solo travelers, at the end of the day we all built a Crater Lake bond. Jeri, the nice weather and the beautiful rainbow at the end of the day were great experience. I can't wait to travel again with Explore Souther Oregon or wherever Jeri is on charge of a tour!!.

We spent the first day on our own, but had arranged for a group tour the next. Turned out we were the only ones on the tour. Jeri was amazing! I can't imagine how the day could have been any better. Jeri was extremely knowledgeable and showed us things and areas we probably would not have seen on our own. Plenty of time for questions and felt as if we learned so much in that one 6 hour day. We highly recommend Jeri and CRATER LAKE DAY SHARED TOUR! Linda and Ralph

Jeri was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable and friendly! She corresponded quickly and let us know exactly where to meet her. I loved Jeri! And would absolutely do another tour with her!!!!
