This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

What To Expect

Coit Tower

See the murals and views the bay and Golden Gate Bridge. How much time you spend is up to you.

Painted Ladies

Call it Postcard Row, the Painted Ladies, or the Full House houses, everyone loves seeing this site in person. And if you want to get out and take a picture, you can. As with all locations, if you want to get out is up to you.

Presidio of San Francisco

Drive through this former Army base turned national park. Stop and see the Yoda statue if you want.

North Beach

Learn the history and culture of this neighborhood that is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.

Lombard Street

If the time is right and there isn't too much traffic (usually weekend and holiday afternoons) we drive down the famous crooked st. If we can't drive down, we can at least drive by, and get out for photos if you want to.

Chinatown

Drive through this neighborhood, and learn about its history and culture. As I talk about the architecture, you can look up an see it as we drive through in the convertible MINI Cooper.

Haight-Ashbury

Drive down the street made famous in the 1960's, and learn why the music and culture made resonated around the world.

Golden Gate Park

Drive through the park, see the museums and the Japanese Tea garden. Guests enjoy driving through and learning the history of this urban garden created on top of 1,017 acres of sand. If open, there is an opportunity to go into the observation tower of the DeYoung museum.

Twin Peaks

Experience a spectacular view of the entire city, the Bay, and if the weather is clear, bridges as far south as Silicon Valley and up near the wine country.

16 Avenue Tiled Steps

The 16th Ave Tiled steps are only part of what you can see. I can show you a lesser known but equally as impressive tiled staircase, and what these staircases looked like before they were transformed into this urban art piece.

Mission District

See Mission Dolores, the Mission Murals, and location of what may be the best burritos in city.

This tour was the highlight of our stay in San Francisco! My sons and I began our stay in this great city with this amazing private tour! Reed was FULL of information and literally cracked us up all day- plus the car was awesome- especially to sightsee in! The best part is the tour is that it’s completely customizable! We found Reed and his Mini Cooper on TripAdvisor prior to our San Francisco trip. Contacted him directly via 4155295404, he also has a website smallcarbigtimetours. It was very easy to reach Reed and we laid out the spots of interest before hand and Reed took us through all of them on Jul 2 morning for a 3-hour tour. We plan a custom tour but Reed would plan for you if you are not sure. Reed provided a lot of useful information via email to help our plan/tour. The cute little Mini Cooper showed up on time right at the meeting spot. A little introduction and off we went. With the lowered top, there was no barrier between you and the places / streets and all photos showed up GREAT. Reed also made sure he stopped at wherever he can so we can feel the environment, not just breezing through streets without the in-person experience. We got out of the car many times, he made extra effort to find parking locations for good photos (and took photos for us). Reed is very knowledgeable about SFO and kept us entertained through his history lesson along the whole ride. My teen was very happy having the experience to ride a Mini Cooper convertible and the service was exceptional. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to anyone visiting SFO first time.

My sister and I took a cross-country road trip that started in San Francisco. Since we were in San Francisco for just a couple of days, we wanted to see and experience as much of the city as possible during our short stay.
