Custom Private Tour in Convertible MINI Cooper

Overview
You're in a special city. Why take an ordinary tour? This is the ONLY convertible MINI Cooper tour in the country!

This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

I love showing guests San Francisco, and talking about the history and culture of this unique and special city.

My husband and I were first-timers to San Fran when we visited the wk of Feb 15, 2015. After much research and other great reviews, booked 2-3 hrs with Reed. He could be flexible with his schedule that day and I had no idea how long it would take to see the things I thought were the 'must sees' for us first timers. Three hours flew by! This charismatic gentleman is a walking encyclopedia on the history of not only SF but early California too. A true, well-read, historian. He was booked on Monday so we took that day to visit Muir Woods and Sausulito on one of the big tour buses. Although not a bad experience, we would go with Reed any day of the week. Yes, more costly, but SO much more 'value' if you will. An authentic guide that knows his stuff offering such a unique way to see the city. It was the only day we never saw sunshine but we didn't care, still fun cruising in Reed's Cooper, taking in all the different neighborhoods. Reed safely & efficiently maneuvered the streets while sharing his vast knowledge. He has plenty of blankets so took advantage to snuggle with my hubby while hubby took tons of pics. Reed more than accommodating to slow down or stop and take your pic. It is a tour CUSTOMED to fit what you want. He picked us up on time, in front of our hotel, dropped us off at the Academy of Sciences at our request. Gave us great advice on the public transportation system (that was challenging for us newbies) to get back across town. We also appreciated the restaurant recommendations in his email correspondence prior to our trip. As one other reviewer said, 'highlight of our trip'. When we return, will be looking up 'Small Car Big Time Tours' for sure. PS-sunscreen and hat. It's a convertible. I had sunscreen, no hat. Got a little wind burned on the chilly day but no problem. But ladies, the hair situation for semi decent pics, I didn't think of:)

No better way to view the area! Reed is very knowledgable and accommodating. He will customize tour to your suiting. My husband and I visited in October 2014 and really enjoyed touring in the convertible - made it perfect for picture taking. Reed provides blankets, but remember to bring hat, sunglasses etc.

Teen son and I met Reed the owner and operator of Small Car Big Time Tours and took a 2.5 hour tour around San Francisco. The Mini Cooper is the best possible way to tour around the city and take great photographs. Reed is a great driver and makes sure the tour is centralized around YOUR needs and wants. Everything is about you and where you want to go or what you want to see. My son and I wanted to see SF murals and art, the different neighborhoods and architecture and the Golden Gate Bridge. Reed uses a microphone so that you can easily hear his stories and knowledge of SF. He shared a lot of little antidotes and unique stories you'd never hear on the double decker or large van tours. He knows his town! Rate is by the hour, so one person or three are the same fee and he was very flexible when reserving his time. Highly recommend Reed and the Mini Cooper experience.
