This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

What To Expect

Coit Tower

See the murals and views the bay and Golden Gate Bridge. How much time you spend is up to you.

Painted Ladies

Call it Postcard Row, the Painted Ladies, or the Full House houses, everyone loves seeing this site in person. And if you want to get out and take a picture, you can. As with all locations, if you want to get out is up to you.

Presidio of San Francisco

Drive through this former Army base turned national park. Stop and see the Yoda statue if you want.

North Beach

Learn the history and culture of this neighborhood that is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.

Lombard Street

If the time is right and there isn't too much traffic (usually weekend and holiday afternoons) we drive down the famous crooked st. If we can't drive down, we can at least drive by, and get out for photos if you want to.

Chinatown

Drive through this neighborhood, and learn about its history and culture. As I talk about the architecture, you can look up an see it as we drive through in the convertible MINI Cooper.

Haight-Ashbury

Drive down the street made famous in the 1960's, and learn why the music and culture made resonated around the world.

Golden Gate Park

Drive through the park, see the museums and the Japanese Tea garden. Guests enjoy driving through and learning the history of this urban garden created on top of 1,017 acres of sand. If open, there is an opportunity to go into the observation tower of the DeYoung museum.

Twin Peaks

Experience a spectacular view of the entire city, the Bay, and if the weather is clear, bridges as far south as Silicon Valley and up near the wine country.

16 Avenue Tiled Steps

The 16th Ave Tiled steps are only part of what you can see. I can show you a lesser known but equally as impressive tiled staircase, and what these staircases looked like before they were transformed into this urban art piece.

Mission District

See Mission Dolores, the Mission Murals, and location of what may be the best burritos in city.

Small car big time tours is the best way to see San Fran highlights. Why be crammed on a bus when you can have a personal tour with Reed? Reed picked up my friends and me from our hotel in his convertible Mini Cooper. He even brought us blankets to keep us warm!! He let us personalize our tour. Reed knows San Fran like the back of his hand. He told us many interesting facts. Tour is 2 hours but Reed does not rush it. He wants you to get the most bang for your buck and if it runs over, he does not charge you for additional time incurred!! Best tour- I highly recommend it!!

I had the extreme pleasure of taking a tour with Reed when he was with a different SF tour company about three years ago. I remembered it so fondly that when I decided to take my mom up to San Francisco for her first time visiting the city, I knew she would love to go on that same tour. Unfortunately, that company is no longer around, but I was delighted when I found Reed had started his own company and was giving his awesome tours from a freaking sweet Mini Cooper convertible! I emailed him about booking and he got back to me with a suggested itinerary very promptly. Fast forward to that weekend and my mom and I got to have our own private tour from the Mini and got a great overview of the city. Reed picked us up at our agreed time right in front of our hotel. We were spellbound the entire trip. His knowledge and passion for the city is unparalleled and infectious. I cannot say enough good things about this tour. When visiting new cities we always look for the "different" tours that really give you insight into the local life, as well as getting an overview so we know what we want to go back to in a short trip. Well, Reed is your man if that's what you like too! Communication was great from the start and he will customize the tour to your liking. In 3 hours bombing around the city in the awesome Mini we got an incredible history lesson from Reed, and were able to go many places a normal "canned" tour could never get to. He uses a headset that plays through the car speakers so sitting in the back with the wind blowing we were still able to hear him loud and clear. His knowledge of the city, it's history, and it's people are really quite amazing and you can tell he has a real passion for it. After our tour we were making plans for a wine country day and emailed Reed that night for some advice/recommendations. Not only did he make a recommendation, he called the company to ask some specific questions for us, and then emailed us the details. Now that's top notch service! We highly recommend an adventure with Reed......you will not be disappointed!
