This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

What To Expect

Coit Tower

See the murals and views the bay and Golden Gate Bridge. How much time you spend is up to you.

Painted Ladies

Call it Postcard Row, the Painted Ladies, or the Full House houses, everyone loves seeing this site in person. And if you want to get out and take a picture, you can. As with all locations, if you want to get out is up to you.

Presidio of San Francisco

Drive through this former Army base turned national park. Stop and see the Yoda statue if you want.

North Beach

Learn the history and culture of this neighborhood that is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.

Lombard Street

If the time is right and there isn't too much traffic (usually weekend and holiday afternoons) we drive down the famous crooked st. If we can't drive down, we can at least drive by, and get out for photos if you want to.

Chinatown

Drive through this neighborhood, and learn about its history and culture. As I talk about the architecture, you can look up an see it as we drive through in the convertible MINI Cooper.

Haight-Ashbury

Drive down the street made famous in the 1960's, and learn why the music and culture made resonated around the world.

Golden Gate Park

Drive through the park, see the museums and the Japanese Tea garden. Guests enjoy driving through and learning the history of this urban garden created on top of 1,017 acres of sand. If open, there is an opportunity to go into the observation tower of the DeYoung museum.

Twin Peaks

Experience a spectacular view of the entire city, the Bay, and if the weather is clear, bridges as far south as Silicon Valley and up near the wine country.

16 Avenue Tiled Steps

The 16th Ave Tiled steps are only part of what you can see. I can show you a lesser known but equally as impressive tiled staircase, and what these staircases looked like before they were transformed into this urban art piece.

Mission District

See Mission Dolores, the Mission Murals, and location of what may be the best burritos in city.

We had a few hours to spend in SF before heading north to see the Redwoods which was the purpose of our trip. I booked a private custom tour with Reed which was FANTASTIC. We weren't on a time crunch, he asked me what our priorities were to see and made sure we saw everything and then some. He made sure that he ran the tour on our time, he never made us feel rushed. Reed is incredibly knowledgeable about the city. This was the BEST tour I've ever had in any city. We were able to take as much time as we wanted at every stop, unlike being on a bus tour where you are left waiting for the next bus to come if you get off. We literally saw EVERYTHING we wanted to see in 3 hours and he showed us so much more. We had time to take photos at each stop if we wanted, so we could hop out & right back in or walk around for a bit. THIS IS THE WAY to tour the city. 3 of us fit comfortably in the cooper & it was quite chilly that day, but Reed even had blankets in the car which were LOVED. We wanted to see as much as possible and Reed I made our stay so much fun!! He is so full of knowledge and he was so happy to share it with me and my wife. He was so punctual and was not rushing us in any way. He was very interactive and made us feel welcome. He took many pictures of us and answers any questions we had during and after the tour. He made our experience in San Francisco worth it.
