You're in a special city. Why take an ordinary tour? This is the ONLY convertible MINI Cooper tour in the country!

This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

What To Expect

Coit Tower

See the murals and views the bay and Golden Gate Bridge. How much time you spend is up to you.

Painted Ladies

Call it Postcard Row, the Painted Ladies, or the Full House houses, everyone loves seeing this site in person. And if you want to get out and take a picture, you can. As with all locations, if you want to get out is up to you.

Presidio of San Francisco

Drive through this former Army base turned national park. Stop and see the Yoda statue if you want.

North Beach

Learn the history and culture of this neighborhood that is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.

Lombard Street

If the time is right and there isn't too much traffic (usually weekend and holiday afternoons) we drive down the famous crooked st. If we can't drive down, we can at least drive by, and get out for photos if you want to.

Chinatown

Drive through this neighborhood, and learn about its history and culture. As I talk about the architecture, you can look up an see it as we drive through in the convertible MINI Cooper.

Haight-Ashbury

Drive down the street made famous in the 1960's, and learn why the music and culture made resonated around the world.

Golden Gate Park

Drive through the park, see the museums and the Japanese Tea garden. Guests enjoy driving through and learning the history of this urban garden created on top of 1,017 acres of sand. If open, there is an opportunity to go into the observation tower of the DeYoung museum.

Twin Peaks

Experience a spectacular view of the entire city, the Bay, and if the weather is clear, bridges as far south as Silicon Valley and up near the wine country.

16 Avenue Tiled Steps

The 16th Ave Tiled steps are only part of what you can see. I can show you a lesser known but equally as impressive tiled staircase, and what these staircases looked like before they were transformed into this urban art piece.

Mission District

See Mission Dolores, the Mission Murals, and location of what may be the best burritos in city.

We were looking for a private customized tour of San Francisco and we found it! Reed was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. We strongly recommend you contact Reed directly at 4155295404 or at his website smallcarbigtimetours. We signed up for the full 4 hours and it flew by. Without a doubt it was the best time we've had so far. We were in San Francisco to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We didn't want to be with a large crowd, nor did we want to do a lot of walking. Reed's Mini Cooper was very comfortable, and we were able to see everything we were interested in. I actually took 218 phono's right from the back seat of his car!

Hi, I'm so glad you enjoyed your private tour! As you point out, the convertible MINI is a great way to see the city because you can take pictures all the time, not just when you get out. When you look up in the MINI, you see the scenery, not the roof of a car. You got to enjoy a customized tour for your anniversary, seeing what you wanted. Glad I could be of service. Reed is an excellent tour guide and being in the mini-cooper made the tour super cool. He tailored the tour to what we wanted to see and added extras along the way. Reed is very knowledgeable about the history and sites around San Francisco, he even took some pictures of us. We highly recommend everyone take this tour.

This was a fantastic custom private tour, Reed was great and although he can craft the itinerary for you (great if you want an insider’s perfect guide crammed into a short time!), he can equally work to your requirements. Reed was extremely knowledgeable about San Francisco - we did a guided tour in another city with another company and it wasn’t nearly as informative. His knowledge is what takes this tour to “another level”. He also provides great tips for your stay (restaurants, other things to do…) - I really recommend this tour, it goes the extra mile.
