As well, you'll be accompanied by a guide well-versed in the area History, Flora & Fauna and geologic formation of the Great lakes and Dune formations. Sleeping Bear is fantastic in and of itself, but having a guide to explain everything from the Native Tribes that once roamed the area, to the geologic forces that leave us with the Great Lakes we know today, greatly enhances ours guests visit to Sleeping Bear. Oh, and guests rave about our catered lunch. It's delicious!

Walking is required to access the vista at Empire Bluffs. The trail is designated as "Easy". Expect to walk 1.5 miles over a dirt and sand Trail.

A guided tour of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Tour includes round trip transportation from Traverse City with snacks and drinks provided. Stops include an easy walk out to Empire Bluffs, Scenic Pierce Stocking Drive, Lake Michigan overlook, Glen Lke overlook, Sleeping Bear Dune overlook, Lunch on the beach in the village of Empire, Dune Climb, Historic Village of Glen Haven and Glen Arbor.

This is a fantastic tour. Matt is so knowledgeable. We learned so much and had fun hiking and exploring the area. This tour is worth every penny.

A wonderful tour even on a cool, cloudy day! The views are amazing, the woods beautiful, the lakes and their histories fascinating! Guide Matt delivers a wealth of information , and knows a lot of great stories. We totally enjoyed the day, and it was worth every penny we spent!

Beautiful day and great tour. Matt is very knowledgeable about local history and ecology. He had some great stories to share, some very cool anecdotal facts, and was very accommodating. If you want to tour the dunes, he's the guy to do it with.
