What To Expect

The Strand

The historic Strand, a national landmark, which was the Wall Street of the South prior to the Great Flood. So many people tried to take refuge in the upper stories of these magnificent bank buildings, but sadly perished. Over 10,000 people died on that fateful night. The largest national catastrophe to this day.

Galveston Railroad Museum

As we stand in front of the historic railroad where over 50,000 men would come by train to visit the bordellos, we will examine the hauntings that continue to this very day in the building.

Grand 1894 Opera House

We will pass by the Opera House located in the heart of the Postoffice Street Arts and Entertainment District.

Our guide was well versed in the history of Galvestons Red Light district as well as a well trained medium to the supernatural. We enjoyed both the historical aspects of the tour and the paranormal. (From the light hearted ghosts to those with scary energy). Whether you believe in ghosts or not, I'd highly reccomend this tour. It was worth the price, amazingly fun and informative, and an experience that you will not soon forget. Vickie was amazing.

More of a history lesson than a tour, not a fan, very boring, long and drawn out without much to keep your attention

Sorry you were disappointed. The red light district tour is a historical survey of the social economic factors that allowed the red light district to exist for over 70 years. The website tries to make that clear. So if you're not into history you should probably should not have booked a history tour. ButYour review has caused an immediate review of the tour guides performance. We hope the rest of your stay in Galveston was more enjoyable.
