What To Expect

The Strand

The historic Strand, a national landmark, was the Wall Street of the South prior to the Great Flood. So many people tried to take refuge in the upper stories of these magnificent bank buildings, but sadly perished. Over 10,000 people died on that fateful night. It is the largest national catastrophe to this day.

Galveston Railroad Museum

As we stand in front of the historic railroad where over 50,000 men would come by train to visit the bordellos, we will examine the hauntings that continue to this very day in the building.

Grand 1894 Opera House

We will pass by the Opera House located in the heart of the Postoffice Street Arts and Entertainment District.

This tour was very informative. Pictures shown during the tour were a plus. We didn't see any activity but the historical information made it worthwhile.

Rob was so informative that it's difficult to pinpoint highlights! I was fascinated by the Blue Light District, and the methods of contraception that the lady prostitutes used. The Mafia background of a well known businessman was surprising.
