very interesting tour. Captain Pete is a great guide. loved seeing a different perspective of the area from a boat. it is an open boat and can be very chilly on a cold/windy day....so dress in layers!

Captain Pete does a fantastic job of explaining not only the history of Daufuskie Island, but many other aspects of the area in general. Pete shows a real passion and respect for the Gullah people/culture and that is what makes this tour special. We throughly enjoyed the trip and highly recommend to groups that want to learn about the Gullah culture and the island. If you are traveling in the fall - make sure you have several layers for the boat ride. The ride is much colder than land.

Captain Pete made the entire experience unique. We travel extensively and experience many excursions, but this one was special due to the knowledge of Captain Pete of the history and residents of Daufuskie Island. We highly recommend Captain Pete and this excursion.
