Grand Traverse Bay

Enjoy a beautiful sail on a 63-ft schooner around the Grand Traverse Bay. This family-friendly sail includes locally-sourced food and drinks. Help raise the sails and sit at the helm while you learn about the natural and cultural history of the region. You are pampered by the captain and crew while you relax and take in the amazing colors of the water, feel the wind on your skin and taste the food and drink fresh from the farms and shops of the area.

Boat and crew were wonderful! Crew was helpful and very knowledgeable. Food was organic and locally sourced. Presentation was artful and nicely done. The cruise was delightful and worth every penny. There were five of us, family and friends and we were unanimous in our enjoyment and impressions. Thanks for a great day.

We sailed aboard the Wind Dancer for a family day tour on Sunday. The Wind Dancer periodically offers sails for families with kids and again, we weren't disappointed. Captain Dan offers a wealth of knowledge about the geology of the Great Lakes and he was patient in answering all of our questions. Captain Dan also taught the kids the basics of sailing and he allowed the kids to hoist the sails. Thank you Wind Dancer for a quality, educational experience.
