What To Expect

Charleston City Market

Our Barn is located just off of the Charleston City Market. You will meet your certified tour guide here and then you will depart on your hour long horse or mule drawn carriage tour. The carriage will go through the City gate at the market where the tour guide is assigned a tour route. You will see about 30 blocks of the historic district which will include beautiful architecture, churches, buildings, gardens and more. The tour returns to the Big Red Barn.

We really enjoyed this tour. Everyone was so nice. They even got us on an earlier tour since we arrived early. This is the second time using Palmetto’s but my friends first and she loved it. The changes of you getting the same route are slim, because there is so much of Charleston to explore! Definitely would use them to your again.

On the last day of our weekend getaway, we decided to try out the carriage tour. Went with the more expensive tour for 2 people only. More of a private tour. Man was it worth it. Scott was a great guide, operator. Being a Charleston native he knew and shared alot. We truly enjoyed it. Being that every tour is a slightly different route each time, we will go again on the next visit. Truly a pleasure.
