Our tour Guide Samantha was ver knowledgeable about the history of beautiful Charleston. Our group won the lottery and we toured Rainbow Row as well as some homes that were used in the film the Patriot. Samantha not only answered question about Charleston but of the care of the gorgeous horses. I would recommend Palmetto Carriage Works to any and everyone visiting the area. Not only was our guide very friendly, the entire staff were friendly and helpful. I cant wait to come back and do it again. Excellent work by Deblasio, carrying us around the beautiful town.

I think that this was by far one of the best tours I have ever had of Charleston. I always take out of town friends on a ride with this tour company because i feel they treat their animals humanely and are very conscientious regarding the animals’ welfare. Our tour guides have generally been good in the past, but in this particular case, the guide was OUTSTANDING. He was a former professor, a native of Charleston, and he presented one of the most even, unbiased historical views of Charleston I have ever heard. I’m not sure if this was just his viewpoint, or if Palmetto is making a concerted effort to broaden the knowledge and sensitivity of all of its drivers, but for the first time that I can recall, I actually heard the history of the enslaved peoples who built this city. Bravo, Palmetto Carriage Works and kudos to our driver, Van!!!!
