Dana was a phenomenal guide! I booked this tour the day we took it, with the first carriage company I saw and began worrying that I hadn't done my research. Turns out I hit a home run picking this tour. Everyone associated with Pametto was a class act. Dana was engaging and informative. I highly recommend a tour through Palmetto on your first day in Charleston to give you an amazing overview of the city.

We booked the daytime one hour carriage ride and walked to the red barn to board the carriage. The barn is neat and clean and it’s obvious the horses (and mules) are well cared for. The woman at the barn who assigns the carriages (didn’t get her name) was polite and personable. The boarding process was very organized. Our guide Mike W was great. He was very knowledgeable and we learned so much about Charleston history. This is a must-do when in Charleston.

We lucked out and got the best tour guide at Palmetto Carriage. David is a true local Charlestonian and his team of Ryme and Reason were very well behaved. Important to note that the rest of the teams are well cared for with a lovely "employee lounge". The city is steeped in history and everyone we met was extremely friendly. Great food too!
