A fun tour around the city. Our guide was very engaging and made a lot of jokes. It was a smooth ride and i'm glad palmetto carriage works takes such good care of their horses.

my husband and I did this carriage tour as our first activity in the city of Charleston on our first trip here. We only had a couple of days and wanted a relaxing way to see the city. We decided on Palmeadow because they have great information about the care they take with their animals on their website and we felt they care about animal welfare. Emily, our tour guide, was fantastic and we were impressed at her ability to monitor traffic, manage the horses, give the tour - all at once. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and felt like it prepared us for the rest of our trip well.

The 2 of us wanted a little tour of the town and didnt want to walk. This allowed us the opportunity to see and learn about the city and walk back to what we wanted experience in more depth. Horses seem well cared for. Our tour guide Daniel seemed knowledgable and answered our questions no problem. Only downfall for us personally was that we were in the last row of the carriage and there were 2 families in the 2 rows in front of us and the kids talked a lot and their parents replied to every question. Because of their chatter (which was not loud but was frequent) we did have a bit of a hard time hearing Daniel. Over all I would recommend the tour.
