Best money I spent in Charleston was this tour. Tour guide was wonderful and took time to explain the history of the buildings and the families of Charleston. They are so good to their animals and that was very important to me and to make this a wonderful experience! Loved it so much!

My hubby booked us on a morning carriage ride with Palmetto followed by an afternoon harbor tour... We got there in plenty of time- the place was bustling at 8;30 am. All very organized- staff was helping each other get the carriages ready. Turns out they were moving 240 people from one place to another, in addition to running the regular tours. So we got to watch a little of the action, the staff getting ready etc. Our tour started on time and we had the BEST tour guide- Dana - ask for Dana ! We could tell she really likes her job...and she was very good at it. We learned so much on the tour- much more than we would have learned by ourselves. Saw all kinds of pieces of the history of Charleston. Book a tour - ask for Dana !
