I took this tour on a Saturday night with Brittany. It was a nice tour and the sites were quite spectacular once the sun actually went down. That said, it's not so much a tour as it is a ride to all the places with some commentary along the way. I saw other groups with a guide through the sites, so I guess a downfall of the open-top bus is that it's a single driver/tour guide. Be warned that the tour may not be exactly as described. I saw a few other reviews to this effect and didn't heed the warning. My tour did not include the Capitol Building due to a special event in the area. This was obviously well-known in advance. They could have added an additional stop or planned another route. I thought it was dicey that they didn't communicate this at all beforehand. It was just an "oh by the way" as the tour bus was pulling away. The tour ended early as a result, which was super disappointing. Also, our driver/tour guide had worked like 12 hours that day in sweltering heat and was super tired (rightfully so). I felt like we got a sub-par experience as a result. Some people on the bus won't get the open top so arrive early to get an open spot!

Terry was an excellent tour guide, we had the plenty of time to take in the monuments that we hopped off on. A bit more walking than expected but not anything beyond what was mentioned when booking.

This is one of the best tours I've ever experienced! Jamal and Brian were fantastic. So professional and personable. Jamal was a wealth of knowledge and kept it entertaining and meaningful. It was the perfect mix of riding on a bus and getting out and walking. The bus was very nice, comfortable and air conditioned. They provided water and several stops that included restrooms. The pick up/drop off point is right next to the Archives Metro station, so it is very convenient. It was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend.
