The National Museum of African American History and Culture is the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture. It was established by an Act of Congress in 2003 following decades of efforts to promote and highlight the contributions of African Americans. To date, the museum has collected more than 36,000 artifacts and nearly 100,000 individuals have become members.

Our guide, Nur Ali Gray, was friendly and knowledgeable. We are from D.C. and we can say 95% of what we learned was unknown by our group. Nur stuck with us for the beginning of our African American Museum visit to ensure we had the best experience possible. I'd recommend the tour and Nur to district visitors and residents. Great job, Nur!!!

Great tour!!-Jacky could not have been more helpful and responsive to our needs for our tour date. Would definitely recommend this tour group to friends! The only con-wish we’d booked an earlier time so we could spend even more time in the museum-don’t miss the upper floors-super cool 😎
