Take in the Big Island of Hawai’i as you haven’t before, and snorkel at two of South Kona’s most precious treasures –Pu’uhonua O Honaunau and Kealakekua Bay. Listen as the captains relays stories detailing the rich cultural and geological history of the Island. Explore the sea caves, lava tubes, and see the diverse marine life that’s abundant off of the shores of Kona. Snacks, top of the line snorkeling gear, and flotation devices included. You simply show up with your towel and reef-safe sunscreen and away we go. With a maximum of only 14 guests per tour, the Deluxe Morning Adventure is a personal and unique snorkeling adventure not to be missed.

What To Expect

Sea Quest Hawaii

Guests will visit two snorkel locations, Kealakekua Bay, Captain Cooks Monument; and Puʻuhonua O Honaunau, the Place of Refuge. Our captain and crew will share the history and culture as they explore sea caves and lava tubes.

It was just me and my dad, and we had a blast! Bill was very knowledgeable of where are the best snorkel spots, he's quite the storyteller, he really cared about the environment and showed great hospitality towards us. We first went to the Sanctuary, with clear waters and the reefs were massive, beautiful and they teemed with colorful fish (Bring any waterproof cameras!). At Captain Cook's monument we spotted a pod of frolicking Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins up close! For anyone who wants some wet and wild adventures on Kona, Sea Quest is a great option!

Stopped to snorkel at 3 sites plus up close to several sea caves. And on the way out we encountered a pod of pilot whales up close. Friendly and knowledgeable captain and crew. Zodiac boat with only 8 passengers on our trip. Highly recommended!

Captain Kendra shared her knowledge about the island, marine life and the history of the Hawaiian culture that made our tour one of a kind! We (kids 9&11) have all shared the knowledge gained as well as the stories of awesome spots we snorkeled, with others!! The hospitality on the boat that she and her crew provided was outstanding!!! I highly recommend Sea Quest and would return on our next visit.
