In this two-hour tour, find out why there are so many nudes in Renaissance Art--- And, why are there dead bugs, wilted flowers and skulls in Dutch paintings? Question why the Virgin Mary is always painted in red or blue or both. Why does impressionism look blurry? The 2-hour tour includes the highlights of the permanent collection, ) PLUS, you can opt to concentrate on a specific art period or (if showing) a Special Exhibition. It's about what you want!

Sasha is the perfect guide for this tour, before her tour gigs she worked for years at the museum. They treat her like family and she knows all their secrets and all the works as well. She had a lot of new details for me about artists I knew and a range of intriguing stories on ones I didn’t know at all. She intersperses her conversation about the artists and their works, with stories about the friendships and relationships between the artists. She also has an architecture background, and that, along with her long history working at the Museum leads her to tell you all about the Getty Museum as you walk through stunning “cut-out” views the architect intended to frame the natural world beyond. Sasha clearly loves the museum and is so generous in how she shares with joy what it took her years to learn. She’s very light, easygoing and curious A lovely companion for a morning walk through a truly marvelous collection.

My family had an opportunity to visit the Getty Center and arranged a guided tour With Quick Culture to try to get a better understanding of the arts there since my niece love paintings . Turn out to be one of the best guided tour we had! Sasha our guide was beyond amazing and gave us so much fascinating facts of the history of arts and special exhibits we were just blown away!! My family ranging from college student to my mom in her late 70s all had a blast!!! I highly recommend to give this a try. You would be happy you did!

Ellen was our tour guide and she was terrific! In 2 hours she covered many different centuries of art, art history and fun facts. I highly recommend the Getty Museum Tour, and, if you can schedule Ellen Greenberg, if will be the best!
