Overview

Get out and ride in the Alaskan Boreal Forest! Traveling at speeds up to 30 mph, maneuver through the taiga to picturesque panoramas of the Alaska Range. Observe glacial moraines and historic archaeological dig sites while navigating tree rutted trails, mountain-fed creek beds, and boggy tundra. Spend more time riding on the trail than any other Denali area off-road adventure tour. You may learn how to make fireweed tea, leave with a blueberry smile, or even chat about survival. Periodic stops are made for photography and wildlife sightings. Tackle the terrain in a single-rider ATV or share the thrill in a multi-passenger side-by-side ATV. Trails are challenging for all experience levels. Total tour covers about 20 miles with 2½ hours on the trails.

My husband and I had a blast on this excursion! We rode in a side-by-side and had so much fun! We got to see so much of the beautiful scenery right outside of Denali National Park. Our guides Tyler, Mac, and Jeremy were so sweet and fun to be around! They offered to take our picture several times to capture this fun memory! If you are in the Denali area I HIGHLY recommend this activity! You won't regret it!!

The land portion of our Vancouver to Whittier cruise included a stop in Denali National Park. We decided to go on our "own" tour of the area on the ATVs offered at Denali ATV. We had 3 couples in our group with each couple having a side by side ATV. The guys drove most of the time, but I took some time behind the wheel and had a blast! The entire caravan consisted of about 13 ATVs of which one was the leader that acted as our tour guide, an ATV in the middle to keep the first ATVs together and an ATV bringing up the rear. We had so much fun going up and down trails carved by rainwater, through the brush and also on semi dry river beds. I was a little worried that the ride might be very rough, but the seats were very comfortable and even though we went over some rough terrain, I hardly felt any bounce. The high-light was splashing through the streams that ran through the area. I haven't heard my boyfriend get this excited and laugh so hard about anything EVER! It was the highlight of our entire vacation. We took the 10:00 am tour on 6/2. It was money well spent and we highly recommend it.

The ride was a great combination of driving through mud and water and stopping to enjoy the views. Our hosts provided excellent information along the way. If you take the ATVs you and your shoes will get wet so be prepared :)
