Denali ATV Trailblazer 3.5 Hour Tour

Overview
Get out and ride in the Alaskan Boreal Forest! Traveling at speeds up to 30 mph, maneuver through the taiga to picturesque panoramas of the Alaska Range. Observe glacial moraines and historic archaeological dig sites while navigating tree rutted trails, mountain-fed creek beds, and boggy tundra. Spend more time riding on the trail than any other Denali area off-road adventure tour. You may learn how to make fireweed tea, leave with a blueberry smile, or even chat about survival. Periodic stops are made for photography and wildlife sightings. Tackle the terrain in a single-rider ATV or share the thrill in a multi-passenger side-by-side ATV. Trails are challenging for all experience levels.  Total tour covers about 20 miles with 2½ hours on the trails.

Good time and worth the drive and price to check this one off the list. - We had a short notice day off, called the rental place the day prior, they got us in and booked over the phone. The day of filled out a single page waiver form and did a quick vehicle orientation before heading out. The ride is for beginner to moderate level. A little working knowledge of riding an ATV/UTV would be helpful depending on which you pick. The drive itself goes through some seasonal creek washes - depending on rain etc so I would bring waterproof boots especially if the temperature is down and maybe light shell jacket to keep the splash off you. The views are good but by law you must stay outside of actual Denali National Park on ATVs so you don’t get to see into the heart of the park. For experienced riders the course will be slow and easy based on your level and where you have ridden before. Those are the only two reasons for a four. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I would recommend this for anyone but specifically as something fun for couples or for families with 10-18 year old kids.

Tyler & Matt made our ride a complete BLAST. They took us down awesome trails, showed us the local neighbors (moose) and gave us GREAT rides through the rivers. Each of us had a turn behind the wheel and had a complete BLAST. Denali ATV should be part of every Alaska adventure. Ride 'em like their rented'.....

I will say the team/guides were great. Very informative. The ride, eh, for the most part you are riding on old roads, not much to see as the surrounding growth blocks the view. If there were any wildlife, you are traveling to fast and through to thick underbrush to see. And with 12+ vehicles, if anything did cross the road only the lead would see. The group does stop at different points and here the guides shine with information about the area and the history. These stops provide photo opportunities of the landscape, but don't expect wildlife. The advertised 2.5 hours on the trail was closer to 1.75 of riding time. We were picked up at 9:00 and hit the trial at 10:15, the first 20 mins was very slow as the guides assessed the riders, this was a positive move as there was one rider with no experience. Fortunately the guides were prepared and moved the rider to a side by side. We did a really short run through the water, maybe 200 yards, about 15% of the ride was on river bed, the rest on old roads. Again a little pricey for the lack of excitement. Just follow the leader and eat dust.
