Denali ATV Trailblazer 3.5 Hour Tour

Overview
Get out and ride in the Alaskan Boreal Forest! Traveling at speeds up to 30 mph, maneuver through the taiga to picturesque panoramas of the Alaska Range. Observe glacial moraines and historic archaeological dig sites while navigating tree rutted trails, mountain-fed creek beds, and boggy tundra. Spend more time riding on the trail than any other Denali area off-road adventure tour. You may learn how to make fireweed tea, leave with a blueberry smile, or even chat about survival. Periodic stops are made for photography and wildlife sightings. Tackle the terrain in a single-rider ATV or share the thrill in a multi-passenger side-by-side ATV. Trails are challenging for all experience levels.  Total tour covers about 20 miles with 2½ hours on the trails.

We booked a 3.5 hour private tour at 10 am on June 29th. Our group included 3 20-somethings and 1 senior citizen - and we all had a blast! The day started with Bob our bus driver, who told several interesting stories as he got us to the ATV camp quickly and efficiently. The group that greeted us was energetic and excited - which we were happily surprised about! Mack was our tourguide. Apparently he only does privates and spends most of his other time on the Zip line - but he was great! My dad appreciated that every time we stopped and started, he double checked everyone's seatbelts and helmets. He kept asking what we wanted to do (more views? more splashing through water?) which we appreciated. He encouraged everyone to drive, and my dad ended up having a blast. Our photo of him driving our 4 person ATV was the biggest smile of our trip and I am so grateful to Denali ATV. One more thing - their machines are brand new every summer! They feel safe (with full seatbelts), but are also fun and plenty bumpy enough.

It was a beautiful sunny day June 13th around 55-60 degrees. We were a party of 5. So we opted for the 2 seater wolverine for my wife & I and the 3 seater Viking for the kids( all over 18) The side by sides were all Yamaha products, well maintained, and probably new for this season. They have ample closed storage for water, phones & cameras. Also plenty of open storage for back-packs.(need to be water resistant, as they will get wet & or muddy) We took the 3.5 hr Trailblazer ride. Our tour guides were Rachel, Clay, & JDot. Rachel was our leader & safety instructor. All were very friendly & informative. Helmets, safety instruction, and machine familarization are provided. Inexperienced drivers will have no problem. These machines are very easy to operate and ride well in the rugged terrain. You should dress in layers (rain suit/gloves also)as it does get cool & there is 100% chance of getting wet & or muddy. Pace starts out slow but does speed up as drivers get used to terrain and vehicles. Trip is about 20-25 miles with 4 stops for pics and driver changes. We did not see any moose or bears but scenery was breathtaking at times. We all had a great time and highly recommend this tour. Thanks to our guides Rachel, Clay & JDot.

We did this tour today with my in-laws(75 and 67) and our kids (14, 12, 10, and 7). We did four side by side ATVs, with each adult taking one kid. It was the perfect mix of exciting and safe enough for the grandparents and young kids to enjoy. Our guides Rachel, Jeremy, and Chris were great, as was the bus driver Bob. Highly recommend.
