We took the Denali Backcountry Safari Tour from Stampede Excursions. Jordan picked us up at the hotel and drove us out to the starting point of the tour. We got in a 6-wheel Australian military transport with tour guides Susan and Howard. Then we left cities and towns behind,and drove out into the wilderness. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We saw wildlife and truly felt we left city living behind. Driving down dirt tracks were could appreciate the majesty of Alaska. Back at the starting point, we took stairs into their observation cabin and enjoyed a fantastic view while munching on fresh donuts. Next we gathered around a fire pit and discussed our experiences. Finally Jordan drove us back to the hotel. It was a great tour and I highly recommend it to others!
