Our guide was very educated on the history of the area, animals and environment. Mike made this trip a 3 star rather than a 1 star. We did see moose and a glacier. We all know you can't control wildlife. The tour stated there we areas only we would be allowed to see. Not the case it is an active highway you can drive your own vehicle on. In a Jeep you except a little off roading. You drive up an Alaskan highway - which means dirt and gravel at times and turn around. Again tour guide Mike made this trip worthwhile but not the 169 price per person.

First off, the Jeeps are 4-door - which make in/out more enjoyable. 2 way radios and a speaker makes this really well executed and professional. Great, current jeeps. Michael and Adam were the best guides. Saw Denali and even got to see it via reflection lake. We saw 2 moose - wish we could have seen more wildlife - but nature is on its own schedule. Highly recommend.

This Jeep Excursion (you drive your own 4x4 Wrangler Jeep in convoy) is a novel way of experiencing more of the beauty of The Denali Highway. The guides drive in front and is in communication with the convoy via two way radio. Sadly we did not see any wildlife of note, nor Denali mountain on the return leg due to inclement weather. At times the leading jeep was driving much faster than the speed limit and in order to keep up with the group you missed many opportunities to appreciate the scenery - especially if you were the driver. The guides were friendly and knowledgable. The duration of the excursion was approx 4 hours. Well organised and the Jeeps are in very good condition. The timing of stops on the outbound leg is important - we might have spent too much time on these (note to guides) as the return leg was rushed with hardly any time to spare.
