My 73-year-old mother and I booked this tour as an excursion to our cruise. Prices are reasonable, and the tour was informative. The open bus climbs high on a narrow road, to allow for spectacular ocean views. You may feel a little nervous if you are afraid of heights.

We visited Catalina Island and booked this tour through Trip Advisor for Sunday, September 2nd at noon. The tour trolley was unable to start. After waiting for mechanical assistance for 20 minutes, the tour was canceled and we were advised to go to the ticket booth for a refund. After a further wait on the ticket line, we were told that they couldn't process a refund since it was booked through Tripadvisor. I have been trying to reach Tripadvisor but it's impossible to get a human to respond. I feel the tour company should refund the ticket price since it was due to an equipment malfunction and then they can settle it with Trip Advisor. So, we could not take a tour (the rest of the tour times were fully booked) and have yet to receive a refund. Very poor business practice in my view.
