Distillery Tour

Overview
Join us for a one-hour guided tour of J. Rieger & Co., Kansas City’s iconic distillery, located in the historic Electric Park neighborhood of the East Bottoms district. Discover the history of our brand, from its founding during the wild and raucous years when the city boasted “the wettest block in the world”, to its premature demise at the dawn of Prohibition, and eventual revival in 2014, nearly a century later.

Enjoy extensive access to each phase of the distillation process, from grain to bottle. The tour will conclude with a tasting of our four core products led by one of our knowledgeable guides.

First, they did a great job on restoration.Second, I learned more about Kansas City history. Third, the tour was excellent. So much was explained about making spirits. Thank you Reiger family for a great product and a great addition to KC.

Fantastic way to spend a late afternoon and early evening. Went on the distillery tour and it was really cool. The sampling was fun and it was architecturally really cool. The upstairs restaurant and at area was excellent. Complete mix of crowd older, younger, totally mixed. The drinks were wonderful and the food we had was great highly recommend the Elderberry gin cocktail and I’m not normally a gin drinker. Note, take an Uber there and back.

Quick and interesting tour with a tasting of their different liquors. Followed up with a cocktail of our choice. Sneak peak at the soon to be opened " speakeasy". Ended up at the full service bar for more drinks and a bite from their limited but interesting menu. Nice bar, with huge shuffleboard table. Exiting the bar is shall I say, fun, but hey, wont ruin it. I am a Rieger myself so this place was definitely on my list of things to see while visiting KC from NYC. I recommend it.
