Double Decker Hop-On Hop-Off City Sightseeing Philadelphia (1, 2, or 3-Day)

Overview
Beginning at the Bourse Building right across from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, plug into our multi-lingual headphone audio to discover the origins of America, where America’s Founding Fathers declared independence from England. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of such historic landmarks including the Christ Church Burial Grounds, Elfreth’s Alley, the Betsy Ross House, and Independence Hall.

As you head west, see the Friendship Gate in Chinatown, be amazed by the architecture of Philadelphia’s City Hall, and be sure to explore the various museums along Benjamin Franklin Parkway, including the Barnes Foundation – known as the world’s largest collection of post-impressionistic art in the world. As you continue your journey, marvel at Philadelphia’s growing skyline and get a bird’s-eye view from atop the One Liberty Observation Deck. Your loop finishes up after touring through the charming neighborhood of Society Hill and a drive along the banks of the Delaware River.

As my title suggests, I did not enjoy this Hop On Hop Off and, in fact, would say it was the worst one I did. However, it does have potential to be a great business. First, I think it's ridiculous we all had to get off at the end of the tour. Every other one I did we could stay on. We also could not get on until 10 despite the website saying they start at 9. Apparently a group of tourists booked buses at 9, so we could not start until 10. I don't think that's fair to others who have pre-paid tickets. The first guide was not good and shared her views. For example, she pointed out the Columbus Monument and said he committed murder and genocide, and enslaved people. I didn't care if she loved or hated him, not interested. Now you can present both sides without stating your own. Pros: the drivers were very good. I commend their driving skills in a busy city. The second guide I had, an African American gentleman, was very good and funny, but he never shared his name. I think you should tell the passengers your name after they got on at a new stop. If this business made some changes, they would be great. I really feel they have the potential.

So we boarded this trip several times throughout the day. It did not start exactly on time but the guide and driver ,Aaron & Travis, were funny, friendly and overall great experience. We did the entire loop first and then hopped on/off through the day. The 2nd time wasn’t as great but the staff were still friendly. The other team that was great was on our 3rd trip with Jerome (maybe) as tour guide. He was just as funny as The 1st tour guide. And we ended the day by seeing Travis & Aaron again. This was a great trip.

August 31st was a beautiful Philadelphia day. We decided to take a train ride to city and tour on hop on hop off. Our guide was great but never again would we tour when "Made in America" is on.Half of the stops were off limits due to crowds. If this is the case charge half price because you are missing so many stops.
