What To Expect

BREW-ed

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. This tour featured the best beer at some of the best breweries in Asheville. We were able to learn about the local brew scene as well as disect the local and historical story of the beer we were drinking. It was great to see how the local breweries opperate from a deeply knowledgable, entertaining guide. The walk between breweries was really pleasant and allowed us to sightsee and learn about some of the history of Asheville. It didn't feel like we were just being chartered from brewery to brewery, it felt like we were really experiencing and taking in something special.

Cliff is very beer knowledgeable. He has an excellent rapport with all the breweries making it a very pleasant experience. The breweries were varied making it an interesting beer tasting experience. Infusing Asheville history into the tour was a very clever twist. I'd do this tour again in a heartbeat.

Cliff was an excellent tour guide!! He is a certified Ciserone, so he knows what he is talking about. We started off at Hi-wire brewery, went to Green Man brewery and ended at Wicked Weed brewery. We learned about the process of making beer and got to sample 3-4 beers at each stop. Along the walks between breweries Cliff told us history of Asheville, which we would have otherwise never known about. Very impressed with this tour and plan on coming back to do the other brewery stops with Cliff again! We highly recommend doing the Brew-ed brewery and history walking tour!!
