What To Expect

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. Our guide was awesome. My wife and I are both very nerdy people with engineering and biology. We asked him many questions and he answered them all. He did a great job of fulfilling our inner nerd. I would recommend Cliff (our tour guide) very highly. He was wonderful!

Interesting tour, learned a lot about the beers I like and those not so much. Our guide Cliff, was excellent in his presentation and knowledge about beers and brewing process. We had a friendly group which made the tour all the more fun. Good times.

I can see why this tour was getting 5 stars! We were looking for a little something different- more than just a roving beer drinking party. The website is pretty spot on for the experience you will be having. We had about 15 people in our group, but it felt much smaller. (Some in the group paid the reduced price for just the tour and not the beer, an option for those couples where one is not a beer drinker!) We did the three hour tour- went to three different breweries with a sampling of at least three different types at each. But throughout those 3 hours Cliff gave us a beer education from A to Z, and dropped in some Asheville history along our way. Such a fun afternoon, HIGHLY recommend!! And, if you sample everything he is giving out, you better have some other ideas for after the tour ends, on foot. THANKS CLIFF!
