What To Expect

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. I did this tour with a group of girlfriends during our weekend in Asheville. Cliff did a great job, was very informative and we got to taste several styles and varieties of beer from 3 different local breweries. I only wish the other big group of ladies on the tour hadn’t talked so much. :)

We also learned some good Asheville history on our walk between breweries. Also he brought us to two breweries with very different vibes so got a good sampling of what Asheville has to offer.

This tour with Cliff was one of the most enjoyable afternoons I have spent in Asheville. Cliff's knowledge of brewing and of Asheville in general was impressive. He was quite personable and funny, yet his presentation was thorough and thought provoking. My wife and I had a wonderful time and would do it all over again.
