What To Expect

BREW-ed

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. This was an excellent experience, tour guide was extremely knowledgable and informative. The tour encompasses all facets of beer from brewing to tasting and the history behind it, as well as information about the history of Asheville.

My brewing partner and I visited Asheville, knowing it is a great beer town. We had arranged 3 tours of local breweries. The first two were good and informative. However, this tour was excellent. Three breweries, different styles of beer, and the background on how they are made. Our tour guide was extremely, informative and answered everyone's questions. We even got a bit of local history as we walked between breweries. If you're into beer or want to be, don't miss this tour.

Did the Saturday afternoon trip, which consisted of Hi-Wire, Catawba and GreenMan. Gentleman who conducted the tour was overwhelmingly knowledgeable. Beer was quite good at all three locations and we were able to sample many different kinds of beers to give us an overall insight into what is out there. Event though it rained early on, we still managed to get to all three breweries and stay dry. And the tour leader even offered to stay late and provide us with the history of Asheville that we missed out on because of the rain. Its no wonder that Asheville has become such a sought after destination to visit. Brew-ed is a perfect example of one of the many wonderful establishments we visited while in Asheville over the weekend. Great job !!
