What To Expect

BREW-ed

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. Cliff did a very effective job of explaining the brewing process and was very knowledgeable. Our only wish was to visit more than just two breweries on this tour.

I had fun on the tour. I didn't read much about it before booking. We only went to 2 breweries. I thought we'd go to more. There were plenty of tastings. I guess I was interested in hearing about/tasting from different breweries, not so much about the general process. I enjoyed hearing about Asheville history though. And the guide was excellent, which is why I gave 4 stars.

The stops on this tour are very good. The Beer was of course delicious and we were all given a good amount to loosen up and enjoy ourselves. But, by far the best feature of the tour is the guide. Never have I had so much knowledge delivered in such a great way. The guy seriously knew so much about Asheville and brewing that I felt like I was one with the brew scene when I left.
