What To Expect

BREW-ed

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. I’ve been on beer tours before, but this one takes the cake! Very knowledgeable tour guide that did a deep dive into many aspects of brewing, alcohol laws, physiological responses to beer consumption, etc. And it was fun! Got my nerd and buzz on with a great group. Highly recommended.

The BREW-ed walking tour was exactly what we wanted. Our guide, Mark, was super experienced and knowledgeable, and we learned so much about beer. We also got to sample several, about 10, and they weren’t skimpy samples! I tried beers I have never heard of, beers I would never pick for myself, and since I’m new to beer, I found some that it turns out I kinda like! A fun way to spend the afternoon and worth the price of the tour.
