What To Expect

BREW-ed

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. My boyfriend and I went to Asheville and wanted to do something different besides the biltmore so we went on the brewery tour. Got to learn alot about how beer is made and sample several different types of beers from 3 different breweries. Cliff, our guide was awesome! Very knowledgeable and laid back. It's just the right amount of time to learn something new and have fun without getting overloaded with information. Highly recommend!

Cliff was extremely knowledgeable about the beer-making process and about Asheville's beer scene. The three breweries on the tour (Hi-Wire, Twin Leaf, and Green Man) were all excellent, and Cliff's choice of beer samples exposed us to all different types of beer. If you're in Asheville and want to know more about the local beer scene--and about beer in general--BREW-ed is the way to go.
