Only 30% of visitors to Las Vegas come to downtown where Vegas began. It's this part of town that we recognise when we think of all those movies of the 60s and 70s and "Casino" Vegas. Fallen into disrepair in the last 2 decades or so the area is undergoing a revival as new investment comes into the area and starts to transform the district. This is an interesting but very detailed tour over a relatively small area of Vegas. There was about 20 minutes of talking before we even moved away from our start at The Plaza. You don't cover as much physical ground as you would do on another City walking tour but I learned a lot and it made the visit more enjoyable and worthwhile

No trip to Las Vegas is complete without a visit to this end of town. It was far more interesting than I had expected and we will stay in this area on our next visit now that we have seen its hidden secrets. Our guide was fabulous, passionate about the district, and talented in imparting knowledge.

The Fremont after dark tour was so informative and an easy 7 block walk. Our legs were sore to start with after all the walking that comes with a Vegas trip but the 2 hours just flew by and was so interesting. I will definitely stay downtown on my next trip to Las Vegas and will recommend my friends and family to do the same. Our group of 6 was familiar with Fremont street, so we thought but boy did we learn a lot from our guide Kelly. He was very friendly and so knowledgeable about the history and the dramatic change that Down town Vegas has under gone. He showed old photos of what was and brought us right to what has changed since last week. I highly recommend this tour at the beginning of your Vegas vacay as Kelly will give you important tips on the best eats and treats around.
