Our LoDa Stroll will include tastings from 7 of downtown Mobile’s favorite restaurants and shops. Experience the history and culture and hear the stories of downtown Mobile’s Lower Dauphin Street Historic District (LoDa).

The Fort of Colonial Mobile

Mardi Gras Park

Six different flags have flown over Mobile throughout its history. Hear the story of Mobile's history at Mardi Gras Park dating back to 1702 and what the first Mardi Gras celebration was like.

History Museum of Mobile

See the History Museum located in the Old City Hall Building.

Dauphin Street

Our walking tour consists of restaurants all along Dauphin Street. Many historic buildings line Dauphin Street dating back to the 1830's and see the renaissance of our present day.

Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

Hear the history of this congregation that's the oldest in the state of Alabama. Admire the beauty of the Cathedral built in 1835.

Bienville Square

Food Tours are an excellent way to try out the local foods and learn some of the history. We did the afternoon tour and started with the Ruby Slipper, excellent start, the food was delicious and ample. Several stops along the way. Our guides family happened to be on the tour so that was a bit of a distraction for her. Most of the stops were excellent although some were just a quick in and out. We would have enjoyed learning more about the history of some of the buildings where we stopped as that was always a plus in the other food tours we have done. Timing was wonderful as we got to see how the business establishments were decorated for Mardi Gras. The food offerings were very good. The final stop was at the Beignet Shop and it was a fantastic end. Thank you for a great time.

We enjoyed the Thursday evening food tour. First stop was Dauphines, which was fabulous - amazing view and delicious food. The food on all five stops was very good, and definitely filling. This is dinner. I got the cocktail package and would not recommend that. Three very weak drinks, which I don’t particularly mind but want to mention. I’d recommend spending your $20 on cocktails at a couple of the restaurants. Our guide was friendly and provided a few bits of historical interest.

What a wonderful experience & our tour guide "Sprinkle" was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and fun to tour with. The food stops were great as well. I will definitely refer my friends.
