Early Myrtle Beach History and The WWII Years Trolley Tour

Overview
If you like history and want to know how Myrtle Beach was in the beginning and specifically during the years of the second world war, this trolley tour may interest you. It shares the city's origin story and tells what it was like to live there during WWII with U-boat threats off the coast and the arrival of German POWs. It makes stops at Myrtle Beach's first golf course, Pine Lakes International Country Club, and the Historic Myrtle Beach Colored School Museum. Guests gather in front of the Grand 14 Theater at The Market Common to begin boarding at 9:45 AM. The trolley is enclosed and climate-controlled. If you would like more of an introduction to the city's history, you may enjoy the Myrtle Beach History, Movies and Music trolley tour. Both tours were created to compliment each other in order to give guests a more comprehensive look at Myrtle Beach's past. GUESTS MUST BE AT LEAST 3 YEARS OLD FOR THIS TOUR. It is best that you book prior to the Monday before your desired tour.

We were disappointed the trolley tour was cancelled, not enough people registered, however, was highly recommended we see the black school, it was on my bucket list as am a past teacher, very interesting and displays were well done, wish we had had more time there. The tour guide was excellent, Sherry, very open to questions, and then she told us it was her first day! We told her she deserved an A! Learned alot, especially inventions made by the black people, and information on the segregation.

The woman who led the tour was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of the area. The tour of the historic Colored School was fabulous! Very compelling and thought provoking. We learned SO much about US history.

Your was great and informative. Tour trolley was poor. The a/c did not work. This made the tour uncomfortable. Numerous people agreed.

I included! I'm heart broken that there was a glitch in the AC and that our otherwise comfortable trolley was not today. I pour myself into every one of my tours and want more than anything for my guests to enjoy them. I am so sorry that this was not the enjoyable experience you would have had. I've reached out to the trolley provider in detail to prevent this from happening again.
