Early Myrtle Beach History and The WWII Years Trolley Tour

Overview
If you are already familiar with the general history of the Myrtle Beach that we know today, but want to delve deeper into the city's beginnings and specifically during the years of the second world war, this trolley tour may interest you. It shares Myrtle Beach's origin story and tells what it was like to live there during WWII with U-boat threats off the coast and the arrival of German POWs. It makes stops at Myrtle Beach's first golf course, Pine Lakes International Country Club, and the Historic Myrtle Beach Colored School Museum. Guests gather in front of the Grand 14 Theater at The Market Common to begin boarding at 9:45 AM. The trolley is enclosed and climate-controlled. If you would like more of an introduction to the city's history, you may enjoy the Myrtle Beach History, Movies and Music trolley tour. Both tours were created to compliment each other in order to give guests a more comprehensive look at Myrtle Beach's past. GUESTS MUST BE AT LEAST 3 YEARS OLD FOR THIS TOUR.

This really warms my heart! I love tours too. I've been taking them most of my life all over the world. I really try to bring the best of them to the four that I give. I am so happy that you enjoyed it and look forward to having you aboard again on the others.

Lady knew a lot of history. Loved the country club/golf course. For people with hearing aids , she talks too fast! We understand she was trying to get a lot of info out in a short time.

I am so glad that you were impressed by Pine Lakes. It is a Myrtle Beach gem. We have a variety of guests with different levels of hearing ability so we show everyone at the beginning of each tour the signal to give if at any point they can't hear. There's definitely a lot of history to be shared and we don't want anyone to miss any of it.

Trip was very informative and learned about new places here at Myrtle Beach. Impressed by all the facts that Catherine knew. The Myrtle Beach Colored School was so educational and Freda was a delightful guide. Would recommend this tour and plan on taking other tours offered by this company.

The Myrtle Beach Colored School Museum and Freda Funnye are local treasures. It was a pleasure to have as a guest who appreciates my hometown's earliest history. We look forward to having you aboard for the three other tours.
