Behind each scoop, there is the hardship, vision, and grit of the founders who wanted to make life just a little sweeter for their customers. Some founded ice cream empires, and others were content with a single shop, but all of them are fascinating. While you eat, I will share these stories with you.

And you will be eating a lot.

There is no other tour where you can try this many types of ice cream. This NYC ice cream tour lets you taste your favorite flavors from world-class ice cream shops that you have never visited. And I gently push you to expand your palette, challenging you to taste flavors that you normally would not get a whole scoop of. After five years running this tour, I know the best flavors at every shop, and love catering the perfect mix of ice creams to the tastes of the group.

What To Expect

East Village

Our first stop is Van Leeuwen ice cream. We'll do introductions, talk about the hilarious founding story, and get the ball rolling. Get ready for some stunningly good and creative flavors.

East Village

Alphabet Scoop is probably the only non-profit ice cream shop you will ever visit. Eating delicious classic flavors while supporting a good cause, count us in.

East Village

We end the tour at the fantastic Sundaes & Cones which has been an East Village staple for almost 3 decades, and has incredible Asian-influenced flavors

Andrew was a wonderful guide. He is kind, friendly, and clearly knows his way around ice cream shops. I love that this tour was so much more than just eating ice cream (which, believe me, I would’ve been happy with) but Andrew went above and beyond. He had researched and clearly knew the backstories for each of the ice cream shops and the ice cream creation process. He even had ice cream anecdotes beyond the scope of the tour!!! I went with my girlfriend and a few of my close friends and it was a blast for everyone. Andrew went out of his way to make sure that everyone was comfortable and had their ice cream preferences met. He clearly went out of his way to create relationships with every person on the tour. Andrew is a New Yorker who is warm, a talented storyteller and clearly passionate about his trade. I couldn’t recommend this more; very happy we went.

Highly recommend this experience. Andrew was a fabulous guide who clearly knew his stuff. I hopped onboard expecting to just sample some of the best ice cream in the East Village, but he also came with colorful stories about each stop along the trail. I also loved how Andrew led the group– he facilitated group conversation that allowed participants to get to know each other. Come with friends or make some at the event! Our group had such a great time we continued the fun with Happy Hour afterward. A beautiful Saturday afternoon well spent.

This was an absolutely delightful experience! Andrew was knowledgeable, charming, and entertaining – everything you could possibly want from a guide. He shared with us interesting backstories about each location and picked flavors that were as unique as they were tasty. Highly recommended!
