Loving an observation deck in any city, especially New York, was keen to try out this new one. We visited mid afternoon to get up an hour before sunset. The queue was very minimal and got through straight away. The whole place seems very modern and can see effort went into its design. Walking through the bottom you learn about the surrounding area and what they’re trying achieve in regards to being more sustainable. The loft ride up is one of the best with New York City being drawn around you before getting coloured in and finally becoming real. However it did feel very similar to the loft journey at the freedom tower observation deck. Once at the top the views are amazing. Due to its location you get a great view of the Empire State Building and midtown as well as looking downtown. There’s multiple levels of both inside and outside observations giving plenty to look at. On the outside platform, just as you get over the nervousness of knowing there’s nothing below the deck, you can stand on a glass floor looking directly down to the streets! There was a self made queue to get a picture in the corner which people seemed to understand easily. But perhaps a simple barrier may help this? The whole space felt very festive with Christmas decorations matching that of the shopping centre in the ground floors of the building All of these aspects makes it feel different to almost every other observation deck All in all a great trip and will be sure to visit it again the next time in New York!
