My gf and I went on the ferry to Egmont Key and had Captain Art and Captain Zip guiding us. These two gentleman went above and beyond to educate us about the area and keep us entertained. It was by far the best ferry ride I have ever been on and would absolutely go again as long as I had Captain Art and Captain Zip as my guide.

Egmont key ferry ride with my partner and 3 year old daughter was amazing !! The staff were awesome, personable, and knowledgeable about the area and history. My daughter loved the boat ride and the beach was beautiful. Very cool place because of the ruins and lighthouse to take some pictures and get creative photography wise!! Not to mention the bird sanctuary is there too which is always pretty cool. Just enough time to enjoy a little bit and then head back for the sunset. We took the 2 pm boat and came back at 5:30. I would highly recommend it and if I lived there would go all the time :)

We took the ferry to egmont key with captain art and zip. They were both great and I really enjoyed the tour! I believe the guy at the ticket booths name was Phil and he was great also. He was full of information which he recited to each and every group lol. The island was beautiful, the lighthouse was beautiful, the water was so pretty. Lots of shells all over, which my nephew loved. They sell shell bags on the boat for $4 which I appreciated so they didnt all end up in my purse like usual! We saw lots of turtles walking around, probably 10 in total. Best spot to see them was out on the path near the graveyard going towards the town, in the shrubs. they had tons of turtle holes dug out and many had turtles in them or turtles fighting each other to be in them lol. The fort was great and my daughter loved exploring it. Art and zip were both very knowledgeable and made the trip there and back fun with humor also. We saw some dolphins and art went out of his way on our way back to the marina to chase them for a bit so people could get a better look which I thought was nice. The only thing I was disappointed about was that our trip was only a 2 hour trip because it was in February and most of their other trips are 3 hour ones which I would much rather have had. I felt a bit rushed on the island because we went away from the majority in the beginning to check out the "town" side of the island and then had some trouble getting back and finding the fort. We made it back to the beach about 15 min before we were supposed to leave and I really wish we would have had that extra hour to relax and enjoy the beach and pretty scenery after walking around to see everything. Over all I'm very glad we took the trip though
