Join us on a one-of-a-kind, electric-powered catamaran ride for a wildlife tour along one of California's largest tidal waterways. Enjoy a narrated cruise along the Elkhorn Slough, a vibrant and lively wetland located on Highway 1 between Santa Cruz and Monterey in Moss Landing. Scan for otters, sea lions, birds and beyond during a cruise through these peaceful waters.

We highly recommend this wonderful tour!! It's not the only one which explores Elkhorn Slough, but after passing another company's crowded "safari boat" we were even happier we chose El Cat Wildlife Eco Tour. The catamaran is clean and roomy. There's even a small toilet room available--hurray! The length of the trip---1.5 hours--was perfect. The trip was educational and relaxing. Naturalist/ocean paleontolgist Aaron told interesting stories, pointing out and explaining many bird, sea lions, and otters we'd have missed. Captain Marina (perfect name!) was fantastic! We especially appreciated her kindness and humor while interacting with the 6 yr old member of our group. Thanks to owner Wendy, who answered questions via phone before we booked a month ago. Thank you for building El Cat! Great that this is the first fully-electric W. Coast boat to be Coast Guard certified! For years, our family has traveled to the Monterey Bay area. Until now, Moss Landing was merely a place with big power plant towers off Hwy One. We are so glad to have finally gone "behind the scenes"!

This was an amazing tour! Both the Captain and naturalist were great. The electric boat was so nice, no fumes! We saw tons of birds, sea lions, harbor seals and otters in the slough. We were able to go to the mouth of the harbor and see a ton of whales as well. Great experience, will definitely book again.
