What struck my family the most was how closely we connected with the inhabitants of the Elkhorn Slough. With Pelicans flying around, Egrets, Ducks, Geese, and Otters at play in the water as we passed by in our eco-friendly (almost silent) electric powered vessel. We felt like royalty with our captain and guide explaining every detail of the wildlife along the way. We could not have been in better hands or have felt more closely connected to the natural setting. Full immersion, no negative ecological impact, completely both educational and delightful. We highly recommend this tour!

The tour is short (1.45 hrs) but informative and well worth taking. You learn a bit about the history of ML, conservation efforts, and the many species of mammal, fish and bird in the area. Recommend.

This was the best wildlife safari I've taken in my life (outside of Africa and the Galapagos) - and there's no close 2nd! We saw 36 otters (the guides counted), many tens of sea lions and harbor seals and a ton of different bird species from pelicans and cormorants to great blue herons and great white egrets to lots of species of shorebirds and more. We didn't just see these animals in their natural habitat - we were very close, ~5-10 yards from the closer otters. I went with my relatives who've done this tour many times and told me this was typical. The wildlife was nothing short of spectacular and our guide (a biology / naturalist PHD student, I think) was extremely knowledgeable about the otters and other species. We were also fortunate to have the owner, Joe, as our boat captain and he shared with us the history and quite a bit about the ecosystem. They were both very nice and knowledgeable, with loud clear voices. I'd give this tour 6 stars, if I could!
