The El Cat, built right here in Moss Landing, is a fully electric, 32 passenger, Coast Guard-certified vessel. This is a custom 37’ catamaran built and designed especially for the waters of our very own Elkhorn Slough.

Join us on a one-of-a-kind, electric-powered catamaran ride for a wildlife tour along one of California's largest tidal waterways. Enjoy a narrated cruise along the Elkhorn Slough, a vibrant and lively wetland located on Highway 1 between Santa Cruz and Monterey in Moss Landing. Scan for otters, sea lions, birds and beyond during a cruise through these peaceful waters.

My husband and I enjoyed such a gorgeous day/tour aboard this fully electric, super quiet catamaran, while visiting and touring the Elkhorn slough. So proud! Tons of information given and wildlife to enjoy. Not to mention the fresh air, while taking it all in. <3

An absolutely memorable experience! Captain Wendy and Guide Helena did a great job in explaining the wildlife, answering questions and promoting the Elkhorn Slough’s bountiful wildlife and beauty. We were fortunate to set out on a picture perfect day and with the ultra quiet electric boat, had the chance to really “commune” with nature. Very highly recommended this tour specifically because of the guide, captain and electric boat. You won’t be disappointed!

We won the lottery as far as weather goes as we could not have asked for better weather. But as good as the weather was, this tour was even better! The Captain (Wendy?) and the guide, Helena did an outstanding job taking us about 2.5 miles into the Slough with tons of sea lions, otters, harbor seals and bird sightings while keeping a respectful distance from the wildlife so as not to disturb them. They answered everyone’s questions and it was very clear how passionate they were about their jobs. I could not recommend them more highly! In fact, I am very tempted to come back again in April when many of those seals give birth!
