This was a great excursion visiting the Elkhorn Slough! The electronic catamaran was super clean and quiet as we traveled up the slough. We saw Brandt's cormorants, 2 types of pelicans, harbor seals, egrets, herons, and our favorites, the sea otters! Our group was 1 senior, 3 adults and 2 children ages 3 and 5. This was a wonderful family activity that all ages enjoyed. What I loved about this was that we also were able to stand up and move around. So, if there were birds or otters or seals on the opposite side of the boat, we could move around to see and take photos. And, the other guests were great about allowing the 3 and 5 year old come right by them to look over their side. Wendy was our captain and she did a great job driving the catamaran. Helaina was our naturalist and she provided wonderful information and was very patient with all the questions from our curious 5 year old. I cannot recommend this

As an avid kayaker and a biologist/naturalist, I’d never been on an ecotour boat in the slough and was pleasantly surprised. The captain & naturalist were super informative, entertaining without being intrusive or overly chatty, and they were very well versed in low impact ecotourism best practices (Sea Otter Savvy etc). The boat was brand new, *totally silent*, highly maneuverable, and seemed far less impactful on wildlife than the crowds of loud, inexperienced kayakers and water bikers. Being up a little higher than a kayak afforded us the opportunity to see more. It was actually really nice to have someone else at the wheel for once. I highly recommend this company and felt they were really reasonably priced for the quality experience we had.
