The Slough is a special place. This ecosystem is abundant in wildlife and birds. The sea otters were fun to watch! Our guides ,Wyatt and Joey, were fantastic! Not only were they quite knowledgeable about this habitat but had fun personalities and could relate to their passengers. This tour is a definite much for all ages!

This boat tour was one of the best things we did on our trip to Monterey, more interesting, even, than the well known aquarium. We saw over a dozen sea otters, and many species of shore birds. The guide on our boat was extremely knowledgeable about the animals, ecology and history of the slough. Bring a pair of binoculars. My go-to binocs for most uses are the clear, sharp, pocketable, and reasonably priced Nikon Travelite 8X25s, which I have been using for decades. The twin-hull open boat was very quiet, and the ride smooth. The staff were helpful and responsive. We did have some trouble finding where to park and board the boat, after asking a number of different businesses and receiving conflicting information. Clearer signs and information about the location, where to park and board the boat would be helpful. I highly recommend this tour.

This was the PERFECT way to see Elkhorn Slough with a wide age range. We had my 2 year old niece with us, and there were other families with elderly members, and a person in a wheelchair. Everyone was comfortable and able to see the sights. Tour guides were fun and informative, and the ride was SO SMOOTH. Also, very quiet - I'm convinced that this tour, I saw more wildlife and got closer to it than ever before (I've been to Elkhorn Slough dozens of times), and I believe it was because of the Eco Tour boat. Also: do you like asking questions and getting thoughtful, informative, and also fun answers? Great! This is the company to book your tour with.
