Reliable Transportation and Tours
Get an early morning start with pickup from your accommodation in Memphis and relax during the 1.5-hour drive across the Tennessee border into Mississippi. On arrival in Tupelo, hop off the coach to see the modest two-room house built by Elvis' father, where The King was born and raised. Your two-hour guided tour features major points of interest that Elvis frequented, such as his elementary school, the Assembly of God church where he was exposed to Gospel music, and the soda fountain where he shared drinks with his friends. Hear tales from his childhood and the beginning of his career, such as the time his mother persuaded him to purchase a guitar instead of a rifle at Tupelo Hardware. At Elvis Presley Birthplace Park, you'll view a statue of Elvis at 13 years old. See the museum, chapel, a 'Memphis-bound' car, and exhibits including the Walk of Life, Fountain of Life, and Story Wall. Admire the views from Elvis Presley Lake before return transport to Memphis.

Darnell was a great tour guide who was extremely friendly and flexible to meet our needs throughout the tour. He shared some great information throughout the tour, knew the best “Elvis places” to stop and see, and offered recommendations for places to see and eat at when in Memphis. We were even able to stop and get a lunch break during the tour in Tupelo. The tour is a little pricey, but relaxing & enjoyable with the chance to control the duration of the tour and spend as much time as you’d like without having to worry about following a schedule.

Darnell at Reliable Transportation and Tours is simply the best. You can contact him for many services in Memphis including transportation and this tour. We used Darnell's services three times during our stay. We had arranged other service to take us to Graceland for our tour. They failed to show up, but the hotel contacted Darnell and he showed up to help us. I turned out that he was our tour guide for the next day on our trip to Tupelo. We thoroughly enjoyed this day. Darnell was super accommodating, great fun and informative. We then decided that Darnell was the guy to get us to the airport the next morning. On time, so helpful and by then we were all smiles at the opportunity to spend a little more time in the hands of Reliable Transportation & Tours and Darnell. Could not recommend him more highly for a fun and great service experience!
